It’s time to play the music… it’s time to light the lights… it’s time to check out the Easter egg displays at Walt Disney World… tonight!
As Easter Sunday approaches, some of Disney’s Deluxe Resort lobbies feature sweet-smelling impressive Easter egg displays, all hand-made by Disney’s talented culinary teams.
You’ll find this showcase of sculpted chocolate eggs inside the lobby of Disney’s Contemporary Resort on the ground level, just next to Steakhouse 71.

This year’s collection includes designs inspired by The Muppets. Each sculpted confection takes the culinary artist approximately 30-40 hours to construct. Let’s take a look!
At the center of the display sits Miss Piggy, posed on top of a table as the focal point of the scene. Miss Piggy’s figure was crafted by Cast Member Erick and features egg-shaped lighting elements along with roses arranged at her feet for added detail.

— Look at those lashes!
Off to the left side, the famous critic duo Statler and Waldorf appear inside their signature theater balcony box – complete with a golden egg designed into the filigree.

Statler and Waldorf were brought to life by Cast Members Brandi, Carisa, Donald, and Desirey. Their theater booth is designed in deep red with gold accents and draped curtains, echoing the look of their balcony seats.
A series of colorful decorative archways (styled after the opening sequence from The Muppet Show) frame several themed Muppet eggs representing beloved characters, including Sam Eagle, Sweetums, Kermit the Frog, Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, and Animal.

Many of the intricate elements throughout the display are created with fondant and icing, including decorative filigree on the archways and smaller costume details.
The Sam Eagle egg was made by Molly, while Sweetums was created by Taurea and Clay. The Kermit egg was designed by Hannah and Clay, and the Swedish Chef egg was crafted by Hannah.

Additional character eggs include Fozzie Bear and Animal, both created by Clay, along with Beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, which were made by Desirey.
