It’s time to set your clocks to Pooh time, as we look at another Disney theme park snack. We’re back on the hunt for a little smackerel of something, this time at Magic Kingdom!
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this crunchy AND creamy Fantasyland treat is sure to satisfy it. We’re stopping into Gaston’s Tavern to try the Creme Brûlée Croissant!

For $5.49, you get a crispy croissant dough pastry filled with vanilla bean custard, topped with caramelized sugar. If you’re a fan of filled donuts, buttery croissants or creme brûlée in general — this is for you!
The crunchy top layered over the soft and buttery dough is easy to sink your teeth into before revealing the delicious, lightly sweet vanilla bean flavored custard. The caramelization on top is the sweetest part of the pastry, and possesses a nice toasted flavor. Be forewarned, It’s very sticky! Get those napkins ready! It’s a pretty nice size for the moderate theme park snack price of $5.49, and is great to share with someone (or not).
I would recommend a nice cup of coffee with this one. Don’t do what I did and get your Lefou’s Brew fix alongside it… it was a little too much sugar for my taking.
While Gaston’s Tavern still offers the iconic cinnamon roll from the bygone days of the Main Street Bakery, I’m going to suggest you SKIP that, and order THIS instead! Or perhaps you could alternate your dessert selections if you have a tough time choosing… That’s right, I’m rating the creme brûlée croissant a 5 out of 5 on the rumbly in my tumbly scale. I’m not the biggest fan of Magic Kingdom foods (outside of Sleepy Hollow’s savory waffles, of course), but this is one treat I will be ordering whenever there’s a time for something sweet.
Until next time, be grateful for your plateful!
