With 2018 well underway, it’s the perfect time to share our top ten trending threads for 2017!
2017 had a pretty crazy hurricane season, so it’s not a huge shocker to see the discussion about Hurricane Irma in the top ten! This thread provided a lot of information along with a place for travelers to share experiences they were having at Walt Disney World during the hurricane craziness.
It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is already over, but planning for the 2018 holiday season will likely begin real soon – wait, who am I kidding? I know some of you are already busy working on it! In our number nine spot is the official planning thread for the 2017 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Keep an eye one for the 2018 thread.

Room refurbishments were definitely a hot topic in 2017 as the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Information and Questions thread takes the number four place on our list. In case you didn’t know, our Disney Resorts forum has an Information and Questions thread for every resort at Walt Disney World that is chock-full of photos and discussion.
Halloween is one of my very favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite special event. Many years ago when I first started researching whether or not it was worth it to spend the extra money, this thread helped me tremendously! Look for the 2018 thread to be started real soon.
The DIS celebrated a huge milestone in 2017 ~ 20 years!! We held an amazing week-long event at Walt Disney World with a fabulous auction benefitting Give Kids the World and other fun events around the parks and resorts. Posters got to know each other a bit and made plans in this thread on the DIS Unplugged Podcast board before the event and then came back afterward to share their experiences. If you weren’t able to attend the festivities, the thread will catch you up on all the excitement!
