We’re back with more weird & wacky Disney park photos for a whimsical journey through the archives of nostalgia! Disney Parks have captured some truly bizarre moments in time. From curious attractions that never quite made the cut, to unexpected characters, these weird photos offer a glimpse into the quirky side of Disney history. Let’s explore some more of the offbeat, the forgotten, and the downright strange snapshots that reveal a different layer of magic at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Oversized Muppets

A green carpet was rolled out at Disney / MGM-Studios for the official opening of Muppet*Vision 3D. Walk-around versions of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Bean Bunny, Fonzie, and the Electric Mayhem were in attendance. Miss Piggy and Kermit would later meet and greet guests at the park — would you like to meet a[n oversized] Muppet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today? Might be something for Disney to consider since they’re ripping out Muppet*Vision and the surrounding Courtyard after all this time (no, she’s not bitter AT ALL).

The Grandest Tree

The year is 1992, when Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa featured perhaps the most beautiful Christmas tree to ever grace its elegant lobby. Meet the swirled red, pink, and white Poinsettia tree complete with candlesticks and garland omitting the warmest glows. She makes quite the statement, but also feels warm and nostalgic in the best ways. This one should make a holiday comeback, no?

Oops, She Did It Again

This one has been an internet meme time and time again, but this 1999 shot of Britney Spears shopping at Walt Disney World is such a mood. The 90s bucket hat, the arm full of giant plushes, the vintage primary-colored shopping bags? Iconic.

You Can Fly…?

Last up for today are these official Ben Cooper x Disney Halloween costumes from the 1960s. This version of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell sure are… something. Heck, who am I kidding, I would love to wear one of these next Halloween, just for fun!

I can’t take much weirdness after that last one… I’m getting lost in those eyes. That’s all for today, but let’s do this again sometime? Do you have any weird or wacky Disney memories?
