Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels

BBQ Bash at Fantasia Gardens Pavilion (3:00 - 8:00 pm)

Guests will enjoy eating traditional BBQ foods while listening to a live band. Menu includes burgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon, potato salad, cornbread and a mac n cheese station.  For dessert, feast on mini apple pies with ice cream, cherry pie and snow cones.  Wine, beer and specialty cocktails will be available.

Play classic carnival games, such as Skee Ball, Frog Hop and Ring Toss for prizes!  There will also be face painting, caricatures, temporary tattoos, a pie-eating contest and a water balloon toss!

10:00 pm - IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will feature a 5-minute patriotic finale

There are no special events planned at Animal Kingdom.

Downtown Disney

There will be no fireworks at Downtown Disney in 2011.

***Please note these days are some of the busiest of the year. If you are visiting a theme park during this holiday, you should arrive early and expect to stay for the remainder of the day. 

Historically, the parks do reach capacity and guests will no longer be able to enter once this occurs.  Having a dining reservation will not get you into the park once it is closed.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you are guaranteed entry to a theme park, but not necessarily the one of your choosing. Again, get to the park early and plan on making a full day of it.
