Disney cruise ship stuck at Castaway Cay

High winds have kept the Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Magic, from returning to Port Canaveral this morning. The ship was stuck in the Bahamas at Castway Cay, Disney's private island, due to winds that have been up to 50 mph.

The ship is expected to return to Port Canaveral tonight around 8 pm. This delay causes several problems for Disney Cruise Line. The Magic is due to set out this afternoon for the next seven-day sailing. The other Disney ship, the Wonder, is due at port tomorrow, but may have to relocate to another dock if the Magic is still docked at Port Canaveral.

Update per Disney Cruise Line: Passengers on the Disney Magic will spend one more night on the ship and will debark tomorrow morning. Guests who were to leave on the next outbound Eastern Caribbean today will leave on Sunday. They were given the option of spending today at Epcot and Disney Cruise Line will help them arrange hotel accommodations for tonight.
