On Tuesday, February 8, Disney President and CEO Bob Iger held a conference call with investors. In addition to discussing the company's quarterly earnings, Iger also announced that Cars Land at
Disney California Adventure will open in June. It had previously been announced that the new area would open in the summer, but no more specifics had been released. Fans are still waiting for a specific opening date, but at least this should allow them to get a better idea for planning their summer vacations. Cars Land will be a real-life version of Radiator Springs, the town from the "Cars" film franchise and will add three rides to the park, along with several stores and restaurants. Disney California Adventure is currently in the midst of a five year renovation project that is reported to cost over $1 billion.
