Following a record earnings year in 2011, SeaWorld has raised employees' salaries. After a particularly poor fiscal year in 2010, raises had been frozen for 2011, but this raise will be equivalent to 3 percent of their current salaries. The pay raise is in effect for all of the company's employees, which not only includes their marine parks, but Busch Gardens as well. The raise was confirmed by a spokesman for the company, saying, "While we do not discuss compensation or benefits publicly, we can confirm that the company has implemented an across-the-board salary increase for 2012 for both hourly and salaried employees, acknowledging the contributions made by the industry's best team members."
