SeaWorld Orlando is making plans for their Halloween event, Spooktacular. The event begins October 6 and will continue on select dates through the 28th. Included with park admission, the marine park's kid-friendly celebration has a sea theme and is a great way for kids to get to show off their Halloween costumes one more time. Penelope's Party Zone is back, with a DJ, interactive games and meet and greets with SeaWorld characters, such as pumpkin fish, mermaids, spider-crabs, penguins, Dolly Dolphin, Shivers the Polar Bear and Shamu. The Bayside area will once again be the home to 15 treat stations, as well as an area to decorate treats. Times for the event are 12:00-8:00 pm and will be held on October 6, 7, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28.
Also returning are the popular overnight family sleepovers near the Manta roller coaster. These are for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade and cost $78 per person (For $103, include park admission for the next day in your price). A pizza dinner and breakfast will be served. Dates for the sleepovers are October 19, 20, 26, and 27. For reservations, call 800-406-2244.
