Orlando ranked top New Year's Eve destination

According to travel website Travelocity, Orlando is this year's top New Year's Eve destination. Normally thought of as a summer hot spot, New Year's bookings for the city have been up this year, contributing to the ranking. Reasons cited for the city's increase in popularity include: "being able to party close to the theme parks with Universal Orlando's Rock in the New year with performances from top rock bands, plenty of nearby clubs and all-you-can-eat-dining." Walt Disney World also offers entertainment and dining for the New Year.

The other top destinations for the New Year are New York City, South Florida, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver, Cancun, San Francisco, Phoenix and Chicago.
