Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 2142

Notes Room is extremly noisy during docking waking you up at 7AM on port days, where the whole room is vibrating and rumbling very strongly and very loudly for 30 minutes. Rumbling on last docking day at Port Canaveral starts at 6AM. Additionally the room is located close to the kitchen, resulting in a very strong and biting smell during cooking time. The smell stayed in the room for the whole cruise. The location of the room is rather convenient, however, due to above mentioned points would never book again.

Notes Room was newly renovated and looked wonderful. Close walk to the stairs/elevators & super convenient. Only issue was the noise during docking. It did not wake either of my kids, but my hubs and I both woke when they used the stabilizers to come into the pier, and the electric motor to put out the lines. We also felt the vibration of the ship, but no more than in the dining rooms above. Good room, but I’d probably book more forward next time.

Notes Large port window at aft of ship. Room is in good condition, with the split washrooms. Maintained and kept very clean by service staff. Deck 2 is convenient to get to restaurants and close to stairs. Quiet and no noise from above decks or surrounding rooms. There was some vibration from ship engine and you could notice a hum. Also very noisy during docking. Whole room would shake the mornings of porting. Little bit scary for the kids, but served as a good wake up call.

Notes The noise in this cabin was incredible. There was something squeaking inside the wall all the time the ship was moving; some attempt had been made prior to our boarding to fix it, they had a bunch of wooden shims jammed into the crevice between the wall and ceiling, to no affect. It was reported to guest services, but could not be corrected. The thrusters beneath the room are very loud; we've stayed over the bow thrusters, and didn't get half as much noise from them. Some shelves in the closet were broken, and never repaired, although the door rail on the bottom did get repaired. In all, this cabin is getting tired and worn, I would recommend changing sail dates rather than stay in this cabin.

Notes We had no problems with this room. My only complaint is Deck 2 is less convient to take the stairs to other areas compaired to a similar room on Deck 6.
