The Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen - now open!
This restaurant will not accept ADRs and will be the first table-service restaurant at Disney World to only accept walk-ups.
This 222-seat restaurant is now open in the former Adventureland Veranda area across from the Swiss Family Treehouse and is home to the "World Famous Jungle Cuisine." Skipper Canteen is broken up into several different themed rooms. The largest room is themed like a crew mess hall and smaller dining rooms will come off of that room. One is a once-hidden secret meeting room for the famous Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Another will be the Schweitzer family dining room.
The restaurant proprietor is Alberta Falls, daughter of Albert Falls from the Jungle Cruise. The Jungle Cruise Skippers will be the servers, so guests will surely be in for a laugh along with their dinner. The menu features dishes inspired by the rivers of the world and the cuisine of Asia, South America and Africa.
A sample of the menu:
Non-alcoholic specialty beverages: Punch Line Punch (tropical fruit juice and mango puree, can also be ordered with spiced run) and Schweitzer Slush (frozen apple juice and passion fruit topped with green apple boba balls).
This table-service restaurant will accept the Disney Dining Plan, but is currently not accepting Tables in Wonderland discounts. Reservations are not accepted; this will be a strictly walk-up restaurant.
