Port Canaveral raises parking fees

Parking prices at Port Canaveral have been raised by the Board of Commissioners at their March meeting. Regular size vehicles will now pay $16 per day, up $1 from the previous rate. The fee for oversized vehicles was raised $2 to $26 per day. Guests parking at the port are charged per day they are parked, not for the number of nights they are sailing.

The Disney Cruise Line Blog states: “With over $30 million in recent capital expenditures for port parking facilities, port staff feel the increase is warranted at this time to offset the recent expenditures. Port Canaveral estimates the increase will result in approximately $900,000 in additional parking revenue.”

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
