Baseline Tap House is a tried and true Hollywood Studios hangout for beer enthusiasts and Disney fans of all ages to grab a snack and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. Many of the menu staples like the Bavarian pretzel and California-based beers have remained the same since its opening. However, every now and then a new menu item or a seasonal beverage mixes things up at Baseline.
While these menu changes aren’t brand-new, they’re new to us and a departure from our “usual” order. So we finally decided to try something different and report back if it was worth changing things up at our beloved Baseline Tap House.

Pepperoni Flatbread – mozzarella and pepperoni topped with ricotta and hot honey – $17
The idea of adding a flatbread to Baseline’s food menu makes a lot of sense! It’s a shareable snack that appeals to a wide-range of palates plus you can no longer grab pizza from the neighboring, now-closed PizzeRizzo.
Unfortunately, for $17 we expected so much more. This is not a flatbread but rather a soggy piece of Naan bread with melted cheese and toppings. The Naan itself is warmed up without any crispy edges or substance to hold the toppings. A little more time in the oven would have gone a long way. Plus, I don’t care how much you love ricotta, there’s too much of it. The combination of the ricotta with the hot honey was way too sweet and completely overpowers everything else. Less ricotta and more spice would help.
Ultimately, this is a terrible value and not something I would ever order again. Baseline should go back to the drawing board and introduce a true flatbread pizza.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest – crisp lager similar to a Helles with zesty lemon and herbal hop notes (5% ABV) – $12.50 (20 ounce)
Sierra Nevada seems to always have a rotating tap at Baseline Tap House – Oktoberfest in the fall, Celebration Ale during the holidays, and Springfest IPA early in the year. Summerfest is a great addition – it’s an easy summer drink, not too heavy, not too hoppy, and just the right amount of flavor to make it feel more bold than a light beer. This is definitely one to try while it’s on the menu!

Lost Coast Brewery Vanilla Latte Stout – flavor blends espresso, toffee, dark chocolate, and creamy vanilla (5.6% ABV) – $12.50 (20 ounce)
The Vanilla Latte Stout made more sense as a winter seasonal item but is less enjoyable drinking it in the steamy Florida weather. The toffee and vanilla flavors come through without being too bitter of a stout. It does have a slight candle scent as you sip it and overall is not an overly heavy stout. Not a bad addition but maybe save it for your holiday visit to Hollywood Studios!

Stepping outside our comfort zone didn’t pay off for us this time but we’re still glad to see Disney World trying out new menu items! I still remember being upset when Writer’s Stop closed to make way for Baseline Tap House and today it’s one of my favorite spots at Disney. Be sure to let us know in the comments if you’ve tried any worthwhile, new Disney snacks! You can also watch our full video review below to see more new items at Hollywood Studios.
