Disney CEO Bob Iger’s Pay Increased to $65.6 Million in 2018

Disney CEO Bob Iger earned $65.6 million in 2018. This was an 80% increase from 2017 when Iger made $36.3 million. Some analysts credit Iger’s pay increase to the intense bidding war for 21st Century Fox, which Iger helped Disney secure over Comcast, to the tune of $71.3 billion. Disney Launches a Campaign with the Goal of Donating a Million Books

Disney|ABC Television and Disney Publishing Worldwide just announced that for the seventh consecutive year they are launching the Magic of Storytelling, which is a campaign to donate 1 million books between now and March 31, 2019. The donations from Disney are going directly to the nonprofit First Book, which supplies “free and affordable books to Disney Launches a Campaign with the Goal of Donating a Million Books





Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Will be Closed Dec. 17 Due to Weather

Walt Disney World has announced that due to a forecast of low temperatures, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed December 17th. The water park is expected to reopen on December 18th. Disney’s Blizzard Beach is in the middle of its annual refurbishment, so it remains closed as well.
