Hey howdy hey, and welcome to another curated list of vintage Disney goods from yours truly! This week I’m featuring some finds that are a little out of the ordinary. The type that might have you doing a double or triple take, partly inspired by my Weird & Wacky Disney Photos series… but a vintage merch edition! It seems like the older the character merch, the more quirky their faces get.

Let’s go shopping!
This pair remind me of today’s Pop Mart fads like Labubu. There’s something uncanny about the bib-wearing plastic face of these Mickey mice. Interestingly, these were exclusively designed for Disneyland and Walt Disney World gift shops, assumed to be from the 70s or 80s. They’d make an interesting addition to your Mickey plush collection!

Buckle up, this next one is a lot for Disney park fans. This little pinball game may seem cute and kitschy at first, but the more you look, the weirder it gets. Why was this sold for both coasts’ “Magic Kingdoms” when each photo seems to solely be from Disneyland? 500 points for Matterhorn, though? Not bad.

Ever want to stuff a plushie into your bag so you can tote your favorite character around all day? You don’t have to with this vintage kids backpack! Minnie is stuck on the front, forever playing peek-a-boo. Weird, but still cute.

Available HERE | $23.20
We have another uncanny character face! This one makes me giggle each time I come across it on my eBay watchlist. Besides an eyeballin’ Goofy, what really sells this 1950s Disneyland mug is the classic ‘D’ handle.

Available HERE | $55.10 (currently 20% off!)
Last up for today is our [real] high-ticket item. I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything like this pin before. Do you like dinosaurs? Walt Disney showing off animatronics? Nods to DinoLand U.S.A. (which will soon be extinct… I’m not crying, you’re crying)? This rare, limited-edition Disney pin has you covered.

First, in the foreground, you have Mickey riding atop the old yellow Cementosaurus, who debuted with Animal Kingdom in 1998 and was eventually re-colored before finally removed from Chester & Hester’s Dinorama very recently.

Second, you have Walt Disney previewing some dinosaur animatronics for the then-upcoming 1964 Worlds Fair. This pin is limited to 1000, and was originally sold at a Disney Pin event in celebration of Walt’s 100th birthday. This one is signed by the artist, too. Hooray for niche little masterpieces!
Available HERE | $299.99
That’s all for this week, I hope you enjoyed today’s feature! Do you have any oddball Disney souvenirs? I’d love to hear about them. Stay weird!
