Disney Cruise Line continues to reach out to help the people of The Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. Over 100 Disney Cruise Line cast members recently gathered to assemble more than 1,500 Clean the World personal hygiene kits.
Each kit contains shampoo, soap, toothpaste, razors, socks, and toothbrushes. Disney Cruise Line president, Jeff Vahle, said this in a statement: “Our Disney team cares deeply about the well-being of our friends and neighbors in The Bahamas…our cast members were grateful for the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and come together to pack these much-needed kits and provide support beyond the financial donations. We hope these everyday essentials will make life a little more comfortable for those families living in shelters.”
The kits were delivered to Nassau by DCL via the Disney Dream, and the kits were distributed via a partnership with Clean the World to shelters for hurricane evacuees from Grand Bahama to Abaco.
Disney Cruise Line has also provided an additional $500,000 in supplies to its Bahamian-based crew members who live in impacted areas for the communities and direct aid to its employees.
The Walt Disney Company has committed $1 million to non-profit relief agencies to help recovery efforts in The Bahamas and bring relief to those who have been affected. The company has also donated medical supplies, food, water, generators, cleaning supplies, and construction materials.

Deni loves all things Disney, and, in 2013, moved to the Magic from Maryland. Walt Disney World is her happy place, and she loves getting to share it with others. Deni and her husband of almost 26 years have 2 grown children. Her favorite WDW snack? A Mickey Bar, of course. Is there any other?!
