Enhancements coming to the Disney Wonder after fall dry dock

Disney has revealed a list some of the enhancements coming to the Disney Wonder during their September 9-October 23 dry dock this fall. Some of the highlights include the Marvel Super Hero Academy in Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Tiana’s Place Restaurant, and an English pub named Cheers.

Marvel Super Hero Academy – Located in Disney’s Oceaneer Club, “young trainees will learn the value of teamwork, bravery and problem solving through hands-on play and programs” with the help of Marvel Super Heroes. Spider-Man will visit to help kids develop their Spidey Senses. Some of the other Marvel characters will join in the fun on a digital screen. Kids can use special software to control the characters’ movements.

Other fun coming to the Oceaneer Club include:

  • Frozen Adventures – Olaf will join in digitally and lead “summery games with a wintery twist and a sing-a-long of ‘In Summer.’” Kids will get ready for coronation day and a visit from Anna and Elsa.
  • Club Disney Junior – New Disney Junior activities, including visits from Doc McStuffins, storytelling, and games
  • Andy’s Room – A multi-level play area themed around the Toy Story films. Woody and Jessie will stop by to play, lead a hoedown, and join a scavenger hunt.

Tiana’s Place Restaurant – This New Orleans’ French Quarter supper club is inspired by the film “The Princess and the Frog.” Menu items will be versions of Louisiana specialties and the music will be reminiscent of jazz street party celebrations. “Tiana’s personal touch will be evident in the menu, the entertainment and throughout every detail in the restaurant.”

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
