With Epcot’s 35th anniversary on October 1st fast approaching, the Disney Parks Blog announced some new details on what they will be doing special that day in the park to celebrate. A special commemorative guide map will be available, special edition fireworks, and more!
As you enter the park, make sure you grab a commemorative guide map, as these special maps will certainly be a collector’s item a few years down the road. Although we don’t know the details of what the commemorative guide map will look like, you can anticipate that it’ll bring back some memories of the early years at Epcot.
At exactly 10:01 a.m. on the Fountain View Stage, there will be a 35th anniversary celebration with Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre to commemorate the special day!
Of course, what is a special event at Disney without special merchandise? Guests will want to purchase the “I Was There” collection designed specifically for the day of the 35th anniversary. The merchandise will all be located in a temporary “pop-up shop” located next to the Art of Disney.
Lastly, there will be a special edition IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth! At 9 p.m., the popular fireworks spectacular will feature a special finale that you won’t want to miss!
