Something incredible is coming to Cotino – the first Storyliving Disney community located in Palm Springs, California. As part of the community’s voluntary membership Artisan Club, Parr House is inspired by the superhero family’s mid-century modern home from Pixar’s Incredibles 2. Here’s our first look at what the newly-revealed Parr House Artisan Club will look like when it’s scheduled to open in 2025.
The two-story Parr House will be a multi-functional space where club members can attend events, celebrate milestones and even enjoy an occasional overnight stay. The Artisan Club will be dedicated to delicious dining, creative activities, fitness, water recreation on Cotino Bay, and unique programs and experiences provided by Disney.
Disney Imagineers and Pixar artists collaborated to bring the film to life with a creative interpretation of the mid-century modern design Palm Springs is known for. The home’s interior will incorporate the design hallmarks of mid-century modern; clean lines, natural light and functional furniture, while adding artistic flair in the finishes, artwork and décor. Imagineers are planning to add special film “props” in, like boxes of Sugar Bombs and Fiber O’s cereal in the kitchen, along with the Parr’s family schedule scribbled on an Insuricare calendar. The home will include rooms seen in the film, including the family kitchen, an open living room, and a primary bedroom fit for Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl.
In communal areas like the living room and kitchen, tones of red, black and yellow will pay homage to the family’s iconic super suits. Upstairs, each of the bedrooms will reflect the style of Incredibles characters including Edna Mode, Lucius Best aka Frozone, and the Parr kids: Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack.
Inspired by Walt Disney, who retreated to his Palm Springs home for a creative recharge, the first-floor art studio will celebrate the Cotino community’s overall theme as a creative oasis – a place to relax, retreat and explore new ambitions.
Imagineers enlisted the help of Cotino community homebuilder Davidson Communities to help build the Parr House. Currently under construction, the Parr House Artisan Club amenity is expected to open in 2025.
