Incredibles 2, Pixar’s latest box office smash, crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide box office sales yesterday. Debuting at a record-breaking $182.7 million in its first weekend, Incredibles 2 is still reaching milestones over a month after its June 15th release.
Earning $574 million domestically and $430.9 million internationally, Incredibles 2 has become Disney’s 18th billion-dollar film. This animated feature follows Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War as Disney’s third movie in 2018 to join the $1 billion club. Incredibles 2 also became the first animated film to surpass $500 million domestically.
The blockbuster could still hit many more milestones as the global rollout continues. Incredibles 2 is set to debut in Japan and Spain this week and in Italy and Germany in September.
