The DIS Weekly Update!

The Dis Weekly Update! The DIS thedisweekly

Let’s check out all the fun articles and news stories this week had in store. We hope that you have had a wonderful week.

On Monday, we of course, attended our weekly merch meeting with Zoë. In this meeting, we saw the cutest Tower of Terror Loungefly bag that sold out in minutes. We took a quick dive into Disney Cruise Line and looked at the answers to the BIGGEST Rotational Dining questions for first-time cruisers. What a great way to start the week!

On Tuesday, we looked at what contributor Jenn thinks is an accessory you never knew you needed in Walt Disney World. This article is fun and filled with the cutest earrings to spice up any Disney outfit. We also looked at EPCOT’s “best” Food & Wine booth. The Fry Basket. We also got some news that a special Adventures by Disney offer for solo travelers with National Geographic Expeditions is available for a limited time. Last but not least, the special Disney Pin Auction benefiting GKTW launched to Kick Start DIS Con!

Finally, the middle of the week! On Wednesday, Zoë got us thinking about what a Disney Halloween event geared toward teens & adults could look like, which is fun since we are entering the spooky season. We also looked into MagicBand+ and the possibility of guests buying them in bulk. We also looked at an oldie but a goodie article about the best bathrooms at Walt Disney World. Such a fun, lighthearted article to get us through hump day. On a not-so-lighthearted note, we looked at a thread from the Disboards about Cast Members using the terms “Princess” and “Prince” less than normal.

Thursday woo, one step closer to the weekend. Contributor Spencer started our day by looking at four creatures you should visit on your next trip to Animal Kingdom. We also got an update on Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was beginning to accept reservations, and they reminded us that the experience reopens on August 25th. Friday is the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so today, we looked at the pumpkins that have taken over the Magic Kingdom.

Happy Friday, everyone! Today is a special day because Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts. I can’t believe Halloween starts on August 12th; it’s still 100 degrees outside. BUT I’m still excited to attend the event. Today contributor Katrina informed us how we could plan around the imperfections of Disney vacations. We will be at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tonight so get ready for a bunch of Halloween content coming your way next week. Make sure you follow us on social media for the first look at everything.

Make sure you follow us on social media to keep up with what’s happening in the parks throughout the week. This week we saw Halloween arrive at Magic Kingdom, some very expensive Minnie Ears, delicious food at Earl of Sandwich, and many other entertaining events throughout Walt Disney World. On Instagram, you can find us at @the.dis; on Twitter, we are @TheDis; and on TikTok, we are @wdwinfo. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and we will see you on Monday.

Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
