As a follow-up to a story we told you about last week concerning the $177 million settlement Disney paid out this past summer to Beef Products, Inc., we’ve just learned that AIG, one of Disney’s insurance companies, filed their own lawsuit yesterday in rebuttal to the lawsuit filed against them by Disney. Disney Looks to Its Insurer for Reimbursement on Some of $177 Million Payout for ‘Pink Slime’ Defamation Lawsuit

Earlier this year, the Walt Disney Company paid out $177 million to Beef Products, Inc. in order to settle a defamation lawsuit and is now reportedly looking for some reimbursement through its insurance policy with AIG. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “AIG unit Chartis Specialty Insurance Company doesn’t believe anything is owed.
