There are FIVE brand NEW food booths at the 2024 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. We tried two of these new booths on opening day, Bramblewood Bites and Forest & Field, and LOVED what we had and still want to try more!
Both of these locations are located on the walkway from World Celebration to World Showcase. This is such a great location for festival booths because it offers outdoor seating options, which can be hard to find during festival season at EPCOT. We only wish the canopy above had been larger to help beat the August sun.
Bramblewood Bites – walkway between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion. We tried one food item and one drink and loved the flavors plus felt it was a great value.
Cast Iron-roasted Brussel Sprouts and Root Vegetables – dried cranberries, candied pecans, and maple bourbon glaze – $5.
This was one of the larger serving sizes of the day and was SO filling! The flavors reminded us of fall and something we would like to have at Thanksgiving. We only wish there had been more Brussels sprouts – the dish was heavier on the root vegetables. Also, a good tip is to mix up the dish before eating since we found most of the cranberries to be at the bottom of the bowl.
Spiced Apple Old Fashioned Inspired Cocktail – with Boyd & Blair Rum – $12.
This unique drink was high on Ryno’s must-have list since he’s our old fashioned connoisseur. We were surprised to see this old-fashion was made with rum but it complimented the spiced apple perfectly and tasted like apple cider. Again, it made us wish it was fall or at least it wasn’t so hot outside here in Florida!
Forest & Field located between World Showcase and the Imagination Pavilion and across from Swirled Showcase.
Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli – with sage-brown butter, pecorino cheese, and hazelnut praline – $5.25.
We heard many people raving about this ravioli so we HAD to try it! It’s served with three decently-sized raviolis and the pumpkin flavor was subtle and creamy from the mascarpone. While the sage-brown butter definitely came through, we do wish it had more pecorino cheese to accompany the sweetness. For $5.25, this was a decent value and would be nice in the cooler months of Food and Wine.
Brewery Ommegang All Hallows Treat Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout – $9.75 for a 12 ounce pour.
A Halloween-themed beer? Yes, please! This was an easy-drinking stout, but we got more of the chocolate than the peanut butter taste. We still really enjoyed this fun beer option and thought it paired nicely with the pumpkin ravioli.
