Black Friday is almost here. Although many businesses around the world have jumped the gun on this US shopping tradition, kicking off sales sometimes weeks ahead of schedule, there is always an exceptional bargain to be had this weekend around the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. If you plan a trip to Disney Springs over the next few days, there are a few things to remember, including a special early opening time for shops on Friday! While digesting your Thanksgiving feast, plan to visit Disney Springs this weekend with some of these tips in mind.
Shops open at 9 a.m. on Friday. Even though the Disney Springs website shows shops will open at the usual 10 a.m., the Disney Springs Facebook account has promoted that select shops, including World of Disney, will open earlier than expected on Friday from 9 am, allowing shoppers a chance to get in early on the action.
Parking & transport will be tricky. If you are visiting the area for a specific reservation or show time, leave lots of extra time if you are parking or relying on the Walt Disney World transport services. This is a crowded time of year, and you may need to wait longer than expected to get to your destination.
Don’t miss the Christmas Tree Stroll. One of my favorite activities to enjoy in Disney Springs at this time of year is the Christmas Tree Stroll, where, from November 8th through December 30th, 2024, guests can take in the beauty of these carefully crafted trees. Making things extra enjoyable, some trees will even interact with your MagicBand so don’t forget to wear it when you venture out for your visit! Download your map now!
Visit Santa’s Marketplace hosted by Bauducco. Santa’s Marketplace, hosted by Bauducco, will be open for all your holiday cheer from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. this weekend, with visits with Santa operating under a virtual queue system. You will need to be in Disney Springs to join the virtual queue on behalf of your group, with a maximum party size of 10 people. There is no standby queue available, so if this is on your list of things to do, get in that queue using your My Disney Experience app early in the day.
Plan your visit to Disney Springs. At this chaotic time of year, be sure to have a solid plan before you arrive. Make a list of stores you would like to visit and any reservations you need to be conscious of the time for. For a full list of what’s on offer in the area during the holiday season, click here.
