Disney Jollywood Nights has returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the 2025 holiday season, bringing back the glitz, live music, and vintage holiday charm that set it apart from other Disney after-hours events. With limited capacity and only a few hours to take in everything, planning ahead is key.
Here’s a few tips on how to make the most of your night at Disney Jollywood Nights 2025.
Arrive Early
Jollywood Nights officially runs from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM, but attendees can now enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 PM. This extra time is a huge advantage; use it to get through security, explore the park’s decorations, and grab a bite before the event begins.
Many guests dress the part – from “ugly” Christmas sweaters to sparkly or velvet getups – but don’t forget comfortable shoes since you’ll still be walking all night!
Merry & Low Waits
While Jollywood Nights focuses heavily on entertainment and holiday party atmosphere, attractions are still open – and often nearly walk-on. During this year’s opening sold-out night, no attraction exceeded a 20-minute standby wait, including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
If rides are a priority, this is one of the best times all year to enjoy Hollywood Studios’ biggest attractions with minimal waits – all while the sun is down!
That said, Jollywood Nights offers so much unique entertainment and ambiance that many choose to skip the rides entirely to focus on the special offerings. If you’ve already experienced the park’s headliners during daytime hours, it might be worth prioritizing the event-exclusive fun instead.
Prioritize the Exclusive Entertainment
Entertainment is the heart of Jollywood Nights, and timing matters. Before the event, check the My Disney Experience app or grab a printed guide to map out your night.
Key returning highlights include:
- “Holidays in Hollywood” – Hosted by Kermit & Miss Piggy at the Theater of the Stars, also starring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Tiana, and Belle
- “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along” at the Hyperion Theater – A crowd-favorite show featuring a huge Jack Skellington puppet and Oogie Boogie.
- “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” – A fireworks and projection spectacular on the façade of the Chinese Theatre.
While most may head to the sing-along earlier in the night, if you can stay until the end, catch the final “What’s This?” performance at 12:30 AM. It’s the perfect cap to the evening.
One of the biggest priorities for any Muppet fans is catching Holidays in Hollywood (more than once? I won’t tell.) They’re live, in the felt, and hilarious. Plus, the vocal performances from Tiana and Belle – wearing their Christmas dresses – cannot be missed. Time-saving tip: Carve out your Sunset Boulevard time around which show time works best for your group so you’re not double-backing around the park.
Meet Rare Characters Early
Jollywood Nights is one of the best chances all year to meet characters you won’t find during regular park hours. Expect appearances from Mickey and Minnie in retro Hollywood style, as well as rarer favorites like Phineas and Ferb, Powerline Max, and Bing Bong.
Character lines start forming right when the event begins, so if there’s someone specific you want to meet, make that your first stop. Alternatively, plan to visit during major shows or fireworks when lines temporarily dip.
Snack Smart and Use Mobile Ordering
Food and drinks are a major part of the Jollywood Nights experience (check out the full Foodie Guide here!). Since lines for snacks and drinks can get long early in the night, consider eating dinner before arriving. Then, treat yourself to a few signature bites later in the evening once the initial rush has passed. Use Mobile Order whenever available to minimize waiting and maximize party time.
Stay Late and Soak in the Atmosphere
Crowds thin noticeably after 11:30 PM, so the final hour is your best opportunity for relaxed photos, walk-on attractions, and one last snack or drink. Echo Lake, glowing with oversized ornaments and reflections of festive lights, is especially photogenic late at night.
After the final “What’s This?” sing-along at 12:30 AM, take a slow walk down Hollywood Boulevard as you exit. The combination of vintage holiday music, Hollywood Boulevard’s neon lights, twinkling décor, and smaller crowds creates one of the most peaceful (and photogenic) moments of the evening.
