RUMOR: Could the Kermit Balloon at Muppet*Vision 3D be on its way out?

We’re seeing some discussion over on DISboards.com about the Kermit Hot Air Balloon positioned high atop the roof of Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios possibly being removed. It seems that the balloon might be in guests’ view from parts of the new Star Wars Land once it opens, causing it to look out of place.

I can sure appreciate that when I’m standing in the middle of any of the Disney Parks, I can’t see things towering above that don’t fit in. I love how the Imagineers think of this stuff as they’re designing and building – things like the look and color of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror since it’s visible behind the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot or how you can see Disney’s Contemporary Resort from Tomorrowland and it needed to appear like it fit in.

While I realize it’s hard to see some of our favorite things disappear from the Parks to make way for new ones, I’ve made a conscious effort not to look at it negatively. How about you? Will you be sad to see the balloon go if it ends up leaving, or are you okay with it? Let us know in the comments below or join the conversation on our Facebook page.
