We decided to check out the new The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
The show is performed many times during the day. It starts at 10 AM, and typically, every 40 minutes is another show. You can check your My Disney Experience app for the exact show times. Starting September 11th, you will be able to use Lightning Lane to enjoy this attraction.

A cast member approached us as we entered the line since we had a guest traveling in a wheelchair. They asked if they would be transferring or if we wanted to sit down in front. The last two rows are also used for those in wheelchairs and ECVs and their families. There is also wheelchair seating in the front of the theater. We were directed to another line, as we said we could sit in the back. The room was dark and not much to look at as you wait for the doors to open to the theater.

There are no height requirements or health advisories for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. Lightning Lane is available, allowing you to select a time to view the show.
If you are a fan of Hidden Mickeys, there is one as you look at the screen. Look in the lower right corner and you will spot one. I am sure there are others in the show.
Just a mention, because it seems a lot of people forgot the Disney “rule” as they enter the rows. As you move into the theater, please move all the way down the row and fill in all available seats. It was amazing how many people stopped in the middle of a row to view the show until they were reminded to move.

The show is based on The Little Mermaid. We got to watch as Ariel becomes part of the human world. You will see Eric, King Triton, Ursula, and Sebastian. It is beautiful to watch with all the projections surrounding the stage. Personally, I liked the old version better with the puppets and the live action, but this approximately 20-minute new show is worth watching. What did you think? You can view the new attraction here.

‘Til next time, see you in the parks!
