Cruise Critic has announced the honorees for their 2018 Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards, and for the third year in a row, Castaway Cay is at the top of the list for Cruise Line Private Island Destinations.
Castaway Cay is Disney Cruise Line‘s private island in the Bahamas, which is one of the highlights of Bahamian and Caribbean sailings leaving from Port Canaveral.
The awards are based on ratings in member reviews from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018.
Cruise Critic shared the top five destinations in several different geographical categories, and in addition to Castaway Cay, several other ports that Disney Cruise Line visits are mentioned, including Skagway and Juneau in Alaska, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan in the Mexican Riviera, and St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Cozumel and Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. The European ports of St. Petersburg, Copenhagen, and Belfast are also on the list.
