The Disney Parks Blog has announced an opening date for the Town Center section of Disney Springs – May 15. The announcement said that some locations would be opening at that time, but the majority of the venues would be open by July 1, 2016. Town Center is the last section of Disney Springs to open, though there are still some venues in the other areas that are not yet open. This is where the story of Disney Springs begins. The storyline goes that settlers were attracted to the area by a series of natural springs. It will feature a central promenade, along which guests can find shopping and dining.
