Disney Cruise Line has received more accolades for their newest ship, the Disney Dream. Online cruise info website, Cruise Critic, recently announced the winners of their annual Cruise Critic Editors' Picks Awards. The Dream received the honor of being the "Best New Ship," for such reasons as the on board entertainment, food and the AquaDuck watercoaster. When giving the award, the site noted that "Disney's first new ship in more than a decade blends fantastic cruise innovations with the brand's signature land-of-make-believe panache. A bevy of Princesses and a dazzling Disney stage show are complemented by the AquaDuck, cruising's first "watercoaster," a buzz-worthy French restaurant and seamless technological innovations like interactive artwork."

Disney Cruise Line won "Best Standard Cabins" and the Dream took home the award for "Best Inside Cabin." The Dream is the first ship to have "virtual portholes," LCD TVs on the cabin walls made to look like a porthole to the outside of the ship. A 24-hour camera mounted on the front of the ship provides a video feed to the staterooms, allowing guests to have real-time views of the water outside.
