DISNEY DREAMERS ACADEMY
March 9-12, 2017
The Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey is returning in 2017.
The Disney Dreamers Academy will be composed of teens who are attending high school in 2016/2017. Nominations are accepted during September and October of 2016 online.
Students who demonstrate a strong desire to learn may be nominated by teachers, parents, church groups, guardians, social organizations or they can nominate themselves.
The academy is limited to 100 participants. In 2014, the panel of judges reviewed 10,000 applications before selecting the finalists for the 2015 Academy.
The students will take part in workshops conducted by Disney executives and Cast Members. Celebrities and Athletes are also expected to speak to the group. Radio personality Steve Harvey will return to oversee his namesake event.
Harvey stated Disney's Dreamers Academy "is about inspiring our young people who oftentimes don't have the chance to be exposed to a variety of job skills and job opportunities and meet with people in the fields they're interested in. We want to give our young achievers the tools to become overachievers -- to make their dreams a reality."
