Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is happening at Magic Kingdom now through December 21st with select dates available to purchase. This specially ticketed event happens 6:30 pm – midnight with the ability to access the park as early as 4 PM with just your party ticket.

The DIS Unlimited team had the pleasure of attending the first night of the party and it exceeded all of our expectations! We definitely recommend making MVMCP a priority during your holiday visit to Walt Disney World, and here’s what you should NOT miss during the event.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is THE shining star of MVMCP and one of the Magic Kingdom’s best parades. The marching toy soldiers, smell of Christmas cookies, and the grand finale with Santa Claus and his reindeer, is the pinnacle of Christmas at Disney! With a runtime of 20 minutes and two chances to catch the parade, it’s well-worth the ticket to MVMCP. While the 2025 parade didn’t feature changes, it didn’t need to. It’s as good as ever!

Getting a good spot for the parade is also important. Sitting on Main Street, U.S.A. is stunning from the glow of the garland and the Christmas tree, plus the addition of “snow” during the parade. In fact, you’ll only experience the magic of snow on Main Street. These spots do fill up at least an hour before both the parade at 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM. If you’re looking for a good viewing spot without having to wait quite as long, we would recommend watching from Frontierland. This is also where the parade route begins, ensuring you’re one of the first to see it.

You’ll notice that Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is yet again not on our must-do list. And that’s not because we didn’t enjoy it or think it’s worth doing. However, the parade is the biggest priority and one you want the best viewing spot possible for. Still catch the special fireworks but don’t take too much time away from the party finding your viewing spot.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is offered at 8:30 PM and 11:30 PM
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is at 10:00 PM
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration takes place four times throughout the evening on the Castle Forecourt Stage. This show may be almost a decade old but we still find it SO entertaining. It’s also an easy entertainment option that doesn’t require a large time commitment. You also have the opportunity to catch the show at 11:55 PM right before the park closes at midnight – maximizing your party time.

The show is of course hosted by Mickey and Minnie plus their pals Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto all singing and dancing to a fun mix of holiday songs. The highlight of the show will always be Clarabelle Cow performing “All I Want for Christmas is You”… classic.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is offered at 7:40 PM, 9:25 PM, 10:35 PM, and 11:55 PM
Holiday Overlay Attractions
Specially-ticketed parties come with low attraction wait times. However, MVMCP is so special we do not recommend making attractions a priority during the party hours of 7:00 PM to midnight. The one exception would be the holiday overlay attractions exclusive to the Christmas party – especially Tomorrowland Speedway and Space Mountain. Space Mountain’s lighting package with over-the-top Christmas music will have you grinning ear to ear and will likely be the most fun you have all night! Towards the end of the night, you can even walk right on Space Mountain. Talk about a great Christmas gift!

Cookies, Cookies, and More Cookies
There are four cookie stops (and one pretzel stop) and you should make it a priority to load up on as many as you can – bring an extra bag! Our tip is to go at the end of the night when the Cast Members are feeling more generous and the lines are shorter. This is the third year the cookies have been sponsored by Cheryl’s Cookies – if you’ve had a corporate cookie basket, you’ve likely had a Cheryl’s Cookie. They are soft, buttery, and oh-so-delicious. And since they’re pre-packaged, you can take them back to your resort or even back home with you to keep the festive celebration going. Our personal favorites are the caramel pretzel chocolate chip cookies and the buttercream-frosted gingerbread cookies.

- Red Velvet Cake Cookie – The Lunching Pad, Tomorrowland
- Buttercream-Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie – Cosmic Ray’s, Tomorrowland
- Snowman-Shaped Pretzel – Fantasyland Railroad Station, Fantasyland
- Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie – Gaston’s Tavern, Fantasyland
- Hot Cocoa Cookie – Tortuga Tavern, Adventureland
- Buttercream-Frosted Gingerbread Cookie – Sunshine Tree Terrace, Adventureland
