There’s nothing better than the holidays at Walt Disney World and no event has more Christmas magic than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This year is no exception and the party is at it’s absolute best. In fact, the DIS Unlimited team agreed that the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) outshines Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a specially ticketed event separate from your Magic Kingdom theme park admission. This festive celebration is offered select nights November 8th – December 20th with tickets ranging from $169 to $219 plus tax. The party is held 7 pm until midnight and you can gain entrance to the Magic Kingdom starting at 4 pm exclusively using your MVMCP ticket.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is perhaps the highlight of the entire Christmas Party and is worth getting a spot early. Offered twice a night at 8:30 pm and 11:00 pm, the parade steps out in Frontierland by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and ends on Main Street, U.S.A. near the fire station. The parade runs just over 20 minutes and includes favorite Disney characters plus holiday favorites like the marching toy soldiers, reindeer, and of course Santa Claus. While the parade hasn’t changed much over the past few years, it’s perfect. The flow of the parade, timing of the music, scents of evergreen, Christmas cookies, and peppermint, “snow” (affectionately called snoap here in Florida), and the performers were all at their very best.
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is the castle stage show offered four times a night at 7:40 pm, 9:25 pm, 10:35 pm, and 11:55 pm. The story is a modern twist on Mickey and friends getting together to celebrate the holidays. The song list includes “We Wish You the Merriest”, “Text Me Merry Christmas”, “All I Want for Christmas is You”, and “Feliz Navidad”. Surprise visits from other characters include Jesse and Woody from Toy Story, Panchito and Jose from The Three Caballeros, and Fantasyland friends like Alice, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio.
This stage show originally premiered in 2016 and while it could use a refresh, the crowd around us LOVED the show and honestly, so did we. The choreography and energy from the show is infectious and Clarabelle’s Mariah Carey moment when she performs “All I Want for Christmas is You” never gets old. Our recommendation is to watch the 9:25 pm show to ensure a good spot for the 10:00 pm Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.
Minnie’s Most Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show
Minnie’s Most Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is only offered once during the Christmas Party at 10:00 pm. The 12-minute fireworks spectacular features castle projections and Minnie narrating what makes Christmastime her favorite time of the year. The soundtrack is filled with classic Christmas songs like “Joy to the World”, “Carol of the Bells”, “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.

Special Character Meet and Greets, Photo Ops, & Dance Parties
Club Tinsel Dance Party
This might just be one of the best dance parties Walt Disney World has ever produced. Club Tinsel is located at the Rockettower Plaza Stage near the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland and is ongoing throughout the entire party. The DJ plays a wide range of dance songs from “Hot To Go!” by Chappell Roan to “Bye Bye Bye” from NSYNC. The best part is the surprise characters that come dance and take selfies including Santa Goofy, Max, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. Seeing Santa Goofy and Max in his Christmas Powerline sweater perform their entire “I 2 I” routine was the Christmas gift we didn’t know we needed.
Disney Jr. Jingle Jam
Just like Club Tinsel, the Disney Jr. Jingle Jam is offered during the entire Christmas Party and features characters like Timon, Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, and Doc McStuffins. This dance party is offered at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland which is also a cookie spot offering green frosted sugar cookies and hot chocolate. There is also plenty of seating to enjoy your treats while your little Disney Jr. fans burn off sugar-induced energy.
