On the eve of the release of the short film Frozen Fever (playing before Cinderella), Walt Disney Animation Studios confirmed their plans to make a sequel to Frozen, the Academy Award winning film that opened in November of 2013.  Few details were announced other than the fact that the original movie’s directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, are once again taking the lead.

John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, said, “We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters.  Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
