D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has announced that for this year’s D23 Expo they have added a new 7,500-seat venue (“Hall D23”) that will be located in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center floor, allowing more guests to see some of the larger presentations.
The D23 Expo will take place on August 14-16, 2015 at the Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
D23 also announced some of the events that would take place in Hall 23.
On Friday, August 14, CEO Bob Iger will open the Expo with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. Later in the day, The Walt Disney Studios will preview their upcoming releases from Disney Animation and Pixar.
On Saturday, August 15, The Walt Disney Studios will have sneak peak at their live-action releases, including Marvel and Lucasfilm. In the afternoon, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will take the stage for a behind-the-scenes look at the experiences and entertainment that are coming to Disney’s parks and resorts.
