Each year, readers of Conde Nast Traveler rank the best cruise lines in the world, and once again this year, Disney Cruise Line is among the winners!

More than 429,000 readers voted during the survey and for the seventh year in a row, Disney Cruise Line was ranked number one for Large Ships (2,500-4,000 passengers) with a score of 92.95. Disney’s score was well ahead of #2 Princess Cruises with a score of 88.32 and #3 Cunard with a score of 87.02. Royal Caribbean International and Holland America Line round out the top five for large ships.

Conde Naste Traveler commented on Disney Cruise Line’s ranking in the Large Ship category:

This family-friendly cruise line carries the Disney experience to the high seas, with character experiences, extensive onboard children’s programs, and excursions to their private Bahamian Island, Castaway Cay.

They continue:

Some 4,000 guests are able to sail on each of the line’s largest ships – Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy – so there’s always a party going on.

In the Mega Ships category (more than 4,000 passengers), Royal Caribbean is at the top of the list with a score of 87.74.

For Medium Ships (500-2,500 passengers), Disney Cruise Line was seventh with a score of 88.72. Crystal Cruises and Viking Ocean Cruises topped that category with a scores of 96.96 and 95.55 respectively.

Conde Nast Traveler had this to say about Disney Cruise Line’s ranking in the Medium Ship category:

Painted to mimic the ocean liners of old, with art deco- and art nouveau-style interiors to boot, Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic and Wonder ships are as serious about evoking the glamour of water-bound travel as they are about filling every hour with fun.

Conde Nast also ranked Small Ships (less than 500 passengers) and River Ships during their annual survey.
