Disney Legend Blaine Gibson dies

Disney Imagineer Blaine Gibson, who sculpted figures for Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, has died early Sunday morning, July 5. The Walt Disney Co. appoints Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer

The Walt Disney Co. has named Christine M. McCarthy their Chief Financial Officer, after the resignation of Jay Rasulo. Kevin Mayer has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer of The Walt Disney Company. Technical glitch causes extra charges for Disney Vacation Accounts

Some customers utilizing Disney Vacation Accounts found that extra money was deducted from their bank accounts and credit cards and transferred into the vacation savings accounts as part of a technical glitch. A systems upgrade was responsible for the glitch and Disney is currently in the process of refunding the money. U.S. Senator wants Disney investigated for abusing visa program to hire foreign tech employees

U.S. Senator Bill Nelson has put Disney under the microscope for the recent news of the company laying off technology employees and replacing them with foreign workers. Disney laid off 250 people in October and January from their technology departments. 120 of those employees found jobs in other departments in the company; 70 positions were U.S. Senator wants Disney investigated for abusing visa program to hire foreign tech employees
