Worldwide Theme Park Attendance Grew 4% in 2019, Disney’s Numbers Dropped Slightly

While attendance at the largest theme park companies in the world was up 4% in 2019, Disney Parks saw a drop in attendance of 0.8%. Michael Colglazier, who was President of the Disneyland Resort from 2013 to 2018, is leaving Disney to become the Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Galactic. California Closes Gyms, Salons, and Indoor Malls in Some Counties, Plus Bars & Indoor Restaurants Statewide

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced two new directives today that will close more businesses throughout the state. First, Newsom has now ordered the closure of all bars and indoor seating at restaurants across the entire state of California. FuelRod Settles Class-Action Lawsuit With New Founders Program

FuelRod, which offered guests “free unlimited” swaps on portable chargers, has resolved a class-action lawsuit brought about by their intent to begin charging for swaps. The terms of the agreement include the creation of a “Founders” status, which will allow existing customers to continue to receive free, unlimited swaps. Disneyland Resort Ambassador Team Will Continue to Serve an Additional Year

Today, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock announced on Instagram that the current Disneyland Resort Ambassador team will continue serving in their roles a third year, continuing through January 1, 2022. California Governor Shuts Down Bars and Indoor Restaurant Operations in Orange County

California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered the closure of indoor restaurants, bars, movie theaters, and more in Orange County and several other counties around the state. This weekend, Gov. Newsom closed bars in several counties after COVID-19 cases were seen increasing, but today’s announcement is more widespread, affecting 19 counties and more indoor operations. Disneyland Resort Pushes Back Reopening for Theme Parks and Hotels
