The Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line has released a look behind the scenes of the show-stopping “Be Our Guest” production number which will be part of the new Beauty and the Beast show premiering inside the Walt Disney Theatre on the Disney Dream next month.
For the new show, “Be Our Guest” has been re-imagined as a multi-course French dinner. According to director/choreographer Conner Gallagher, the scene will have nods to a Moulin Rouge-inspired French circus, as we get “inside the mind of Lumiere and let that explode out onto the stage by way of food, fashion, and fun.”
Jason Sherwood, scenic designer for the show adds, “Our interpretation of ‘Be Our Guest’ is going to feel like a true re-imagination and is going to leave the audience feeling like they’re seeing this show…this song…these characters for the very first time.”
