Spider-Man to join Marvel Cinematic Universe

In a move that many saw coming after the Sony Pictures hacking scandal, Spider-Man will soon be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).  Back in 1999, Marvel sold the character’s film rights to Sony Pictures for $7 million.  Since then, Sony has released five Spider-Man pictures; the most recent, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, was not a massive success financially or critically.  At that time, many in the entertainment industry started speculating that Sony would once again be rebooting the franchise and replacing Andrew Garfield as the actor playing Peter Parker.  However, many speculated all of that talk was simply rumor because Sony had already picked a date for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, as well as other related films from the Spider-Man universe.

Then, in late-October of 2014, Marvel (owned by The Walt Disney Company) made waves when they announced the third Captain America film would be subtitled Civil War based on a popular story arc in their print comics.  In addition to Iron Man, Spider-Man plays a crucial role in the events of this story.  As a result, it only seemed logical that Marvel might try to negotiate an appearance, however brief, by Spider-Man in that film. كازينو عربي   The Sony Pictures hacking scandal revealed that to be the case, but it still seemed as if no progress had been made to share Spider-Man.

Late last night, that all changed when Marvel announced that Spider-Man would indeed be joining the MCU. العاب تربح فلوس حقيقية   According to Marvel’s announcement, Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film before headlining his own film opening on July 28, 2017. Marvel’s official statement doesn’t confirm that his first appearance will be in Captain America: Civil War (May 2016), but it would make perfect sense, since it would introduce him into the MCU one year ahead of the new film.  Also noteworthy is the fact that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will co-produce the solo Spider-Man film and “collaborate on a new creative direction for the webslinger” in tandem with former Sony executive Amy Pascal.  While it has yet to be confirmed, the Internet is rampant with speculation that this deal also marks of end of Andrew Garfield in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. بوكر هولدم

The addition of a solo Spider-Man film in July of 2017 has also impacted other Marvel franchises.  Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Inhumans and the third film of the Thor franchise have all had their release dates pushed back, in some cases as long as nine months out.  The third and fourth Avengers films will hold onto their current dates: Infinity Wars Part 1 and Infinity Wars Part 2 will still be released in May of 2018 and 2019.
