Orlando Int’l Airport to Lay Off Almost 800 Food Service Workers as COVID-19 Pandemic Continues

According to a report on Fox 35, the Orlando International Airport (MCO) is getting ready to lay off nearly 800 foodservice crew members, cooks, cashiers, shift supervisors, and more. The 782 employees had been temporarily furloughed back in March but will be permanently laid off on October 15th if they haven’t been recalled by that time. Flexible Cancellation Policy Extended through December 2020 at Walt Disney World Resort

Today, the Walt Disney World Resort updated its temporary cancellation and modification policy to include arrivals through the end of 2020. Guests can now have added peace of mind when they book their next Disney vacation. Walt Disney World Announces Adjusted Opening Dates for Select Resort Hotels

As the Walt Disney World Resort continues their phased approach to reopening, they have decided to adjust the reopening dates for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort due to the current environment. Palmas & Patina Restaurant Groups Lay Off Employees from Restaurants at Disney World

We’ve learned this morning that the Palmas Restaurant Group has laid off an undisclosed number of employees from their restaurants in the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT. The Bahamas Closing to Visitors from U.S. Beginning July 22 Due to Spiking COVID-19 Cases

On Sunday, Bahamian Prime Minister Huberg Minnis announced that international commercial flights and ships carrying passengers will not be allowed to enter The Bahamas unless they are from Canada, the United Kingdom, or the European Union beginning Wednesday, July 22nd. California Governor Gavin Newsom announced two new directives today that will close more businesses throughout the state. First, Newsom has now ordered the closure of all bars and indoor seating at restaurants across the entire state of California.
