‘Toy Story 5’, ‘Frozen 3’ and ‘Zootopia 2’ Announced During Earnings Call

In Wednesday’s quarterly earnings call, Bob Iger announced that sequels were coming for three popular Disney Animation franchises, Zootopia, Toy Story, and Frozen. Shanghai Disney Resort Announces ‘Zootopia’ Themed Expansion

The Shanghai Disney Resort has announced their second major expansion since their opening in 2016. Disney Files for Another Dismissal of ‘Zootopia’ Lawsuit Based on New Documents

Disney is seeking yet another dismissal regarding a lawsuit over copyright infringement alleged by Gary Goldman, this time due to new materials which give greater detail to the plaintiff’s creation Looney, which he says was the basis for the hit film Zootopia. Dismissal of ‘Zootopia’ Copyright Lawsuit Granted to Disney – For Now

Disney has been granted their request for dismissal of the copyright lawsuit filed by Gary Goldman via Esplanade Productions. Goldman’s complaint targeted Disney’s Zootopia stating that the film was derived from work he pitched to Disney.
