Cool Kid Summer is bringing extra magic to Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World this season, and it’s the perfect way for families to beat the heat while making the most of their day in the park. With playful surprises, energetic entertainment, and summertime vibes around every corner, kids (and kids at heart) will find plenty of ways to stay cool and have fun in between rides and character meet-and-greets.
Over in Storybook Circus, younger guests can splash and play at the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station, a refreshing hub for families looking to cool down. Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit or a change of clothes for the little ones; this playful water area is all about getting soaked and staying cool under the summer sun! In case you forget to bring a change of clothes, there is a conveniently located shop that sells clothing, towels, and more.
Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus
Play and have fun at the Big Top! Join the DJ Ringmaster for a summertime dance party, pop-up silliness with Pluto, and kid-friendly midway-style games with even more hands-on activities inside Big Top Souvenirs! The circus fun is scheduled to happen at sporadic times between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm daily.
If you’re there and the performers are not, there is plenty of seating and carnival games to keep you and the kids busy and having fun until they arrive. There’s even a circus-themed game of hopscotch on the ground!

Indoor Activities at Big Top Souvenirs
I used to think Big Top Souvenirs was just a shop with fun Disney merchandise and some of the most delicious Disney snacks ever, but there’s more going on inside, especially for Cool Kid Summer!
Not only can you grab a snack (don’t forget about the Caramel Butter Bars and Werther’s Caramel Popcorn!), but there are tables and chairs set up inside where families can sit down and enjoy their treats together. I’d love to see these remain inside long after summertime! There are coloring pages and crayons available to keep the kids having fun, too.
Galactic Blast at Tomorrowland
Show off your dance moves to out-of-this-world tunes during a space-inspired DJ dance party at Rocket Tower Plaza Stage, with surprise appearances by none other than our mischievous friend Stitch! Guests can also enjoy a cool spot in Merchant of Venus with indoor crafts inspired by the NEW Disney·Pixar Film Elio.
You’ll find a live DJ spinning up tunes from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. I stopped by a few times during my Magic Kingdom day and couldn’t catch Stitch. He’s a sneaky little one, though. Guests were dancing like crazy every time I came by. There was even a group of teenagers dancing together one of the times, it was pretty fun to see that.
