Like the other three resorts participating in the Cool Kid Summer festivities (Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Wilderness Lodge), each day at Pop Century starts with an exciting lineup of poolside games, themed dance parties, and arts and crafts sessions.

In the mornings from 8:30 to 9:00 am, Monday through Thursday, get your day started with a “Wake Up Shake Up” party on the Generation Gap Bridge with activities to prepare families for their visit to the theme parks. The best part about this party’s location is that once it’s over, you can hop aboard the Disney Skyliner and head straight over to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios in no time!

Don’t forget to stop by the Resort’s front lobby to pick up a Cool Kid Summer guide to the theme parks. They are full of tips and experiences that are not to be missed if you are visiting with kids. You can also find digital versions at the links below.

While you’re at it, stop into Everything Pop Shopping & Dining and let your kids add their favorite merchandise finds to the adorable kid-sized shopping carts.

I find that taking a break indoors is one of the only ways I can survive the summer heat in Florida. On this trip, I used my indoor time to hunt for the Find A Friend character, which was Goofy. This one took me quite a while to find, as he was hiding in the Business Center just off the lobby. You can see him in the image below sitting on top of the FuelRod portable charger machine. It was, of course, the very last place I checked.

But, I’m glad I was persistent, as the button reward I received is adorable with Goofy dancing and the peace sign!

This resort also has a Cool Kid Summer Little Library set up in their kids’ waiting area in the lobby. The little shelf has a great selection of books that kids can borrow while waiting for parents to complete check-in, or just hanging out.

After a midday break in the air-conditioning, head out to the pool!

From Disney trivia to themed pool parties and water balloon tosses, the resort’s activity team keeps the energy high. Little ones can have a ton of fun at hula hoop contests and chalk art competitions, while parents join in or relax nearby with a refreshing drink from Petals Pool Bar.

Don’t miss the character-inspired activities and bubble dance parties. These lively events turn the Hippy Dippy Pool into the ultimate summer playground. It’s the perfect way for families to cool off and connect after a fun-filled day in the theme parks.

Evenings at Pop Century are just as magical, thanks to Movies Under the Stars. After a full day of splashing in the pool and playing in the theme parks, families can wind down together with a complimentary Disney movie screened outdoors on the lawn. Cozy up with your favorite Disney snack and enjoy the perfect end to a summer day.

Cool Kid Summer is all about making lasting memories, and it’s included with your stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. With its larger-than-life theming, retro flair, and nonstop activities, Pop Century is the ideal spot for a laid-back yet lively Disney World stay. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, this summer celebration is sure to be a highlight for the whole family.
