Pinocchio Village Haus is located in the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland and offers Quick-Service flatbreads for both lunch and dinner. This large restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with windows that look into “it’s a small world.” New this year, there are five menu items exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We had the opportunity to try three of these items and it’s no trick, they were mostly a treat!
First up is the most wild menu item…. the Creepy Clam Flatbread – topped with bacon, black ink pesto, Romano, and Calabrian chile aioli for $13.79.
Did we eat clams from a theme park Quick-Service and did we actually enjoy them? Yes and yes. Although the clams were an unnecessary footnote to this delicious flatbread, we all really enjoyed the flavors from the bacon, pesto, and aioli. In fact, we were shocked just how spicy it was in the best way possible! This is one not to miss at the 2024 Halloween Party and we hope to see Disney take similar menu risks like the Creepy Clam Flatbread.
We also shared the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Strips – tossed in Korean barbecue sauce and topped with black sesame seeds, fried garlic, and green onions for $9.99.
So many of the Halloween Party-exclusive snacks are sweets so we were thrilled to have another savory option! These chicken fingers weren’t quite as exciting as the description implies, but we still thought there was a good flavor with a more mild spice component. We do wish the tenders had been served with fries and topped with more of the fried garlic. However, five chicken tenders was still a good value!
Last and unfortunately least, was our dessert; the Swinging Wake Cake – vanilla cake with fruity cereal mousse for $5.49.
This cake had more of a vanilla/ cheesecake flavor and the fruity cereal didn’t add much in either flavor or texture. The texture was more similar to a gelatin and despite the creativity in this black rose cake, we would not recommend this treat. You’re better off enjoying the included Halloween candy or some of the other Quick-Service dessert offerings.
We did not try the Spicy Meatball Arrabbiata Flatbread for $13.29 or the Boo Raspberry Slushy for $6.29. Be sure to let us know in the comments if you tried any of these limited offerings from Pinocchio Village Haus. Plus, watch our full review of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party here!
