The last day of a Disney vacation is not typically anyone’s favorite, but one poster on DISboards.com posed a question looking for recommendations on a restaurant in a theme park or Resort to have a nice breakfast on their last day. This question caught my eye because when we lived in Florida and drove to the theme parks, we’d always stop for breakfast in one of the Resort restaurants before leaving Walt Disney World property. Our go-to breakfast spot back in the day was The Wave… of American Flavors, which is now Steakhouse 71 with one big difference; they no longer offer a breakfast buffet. That buffet was my family’s very favorite place to have breakfast once the kids were a bit older and were somewhat over character dining.
Disney fans are posting suggestions, and we thought we’d share what they are saying. Their traveling party includes adults, a teenager, and a child.
TheDailyMoo: “Best breakfast bang for [the] buck but high quality for me is Steakhouse 71.”
TCRAIG: “I would go to the Grand Floridian Cafe.”
SleeplessInTO: “Ale & Compass and Steakhouse 71. Cape May Cafe if you want characters (note no Mickey here).”
I love this next suggestion; especially the ride on the monorail to wave goodbye to Cinderella Castle.
ibcrazie4dizney: “For many many years we have had to leave after breakfast and we always ate at ‘Ohana, which is common type food and comfortable. Then we go out and hop on the monorail for one last ride of the loop and it passes Magic Kingdom and we wave goodbye to the castle.”
Do you have a favorite tradition with breakfast on your last day? We’d love to hear it, so please share!
