Seeing my Twitter timeline this morning full of tweets from happy guests visiting Disney Springs has got me thinking about what I would want to do if I were visiting today.
Today is the first day that Disney Springs has opened since they closed due to Coronavirus concerns back on March 17th.
There are so many fantastic dining locations at Disney Springs so that’s where my mind immediately goes when I start thinking about what I’d like to do if I were there.
Typically, I’d head straight to Homecomin’ for my favorite appetizer – their Church Lady Deviled Eggs, but they are not open just yet. My next favorite is the Burrata Caprese at Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, but alas, they are not quite open either.
So, I’d head to my third choice which is Frontera Cocina where I’d order the Bacon Guacamole. This guacamole is made with Nueske bacon, tomatillos, toasted pepitas, cilantro, and onions then paired with smoky chipotle and herby salsa – it’s $12 and it’s always fresh and absolutely delicious.
After I walked around a bit to let that settle in, I’d head over to Cookes of Dublin for the most fantastic fish & chips I’ve ever had. Now, being from Seattle and having the opportunity to dine at Ivar’s on the waterfront on the regular, you might not think that these fish & chips would be my fave, but they totally are. BEST. EVER.
Dessert is where things can get tricky because there are SO MANY amazing, sugary choices at Disney Springs. I’d have to meander around for a while before dessert because I’d definitely be too full to have it right after lunch.
Since my number one go-to choice for dessert – Ghirardelli Soda Fountain – is not open yet, my Ocean Beach Sea Salt Caramel Sundae with coffee ice cream instead of vanilla would have to wait for another day. So, I’d head over to Sunshine Churros because I’ve actually never had their churros before and I’ve heard amazing things about the majority of them.
Mmmmm! So, that’s my day of dining at Disney Springs!
