The 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is going on now through February 24th! Of course one of the biggest highlights of the festival is the special menu items found throughout the park. The Artist’s Table is located in the American Adventure in the middle of World Showcase and across from the American Gardens Theater where you can watch special performances from Disney on Broadway stars during the festival.
The Artist’s Table had two new menu items we were looking forward to trying and I’ll give you a spoiler… they were both flops.
Deviled Egg Trio – pimento cheese, green goddess, and BLT (New) – $6.25
These deviled eggs had so much potential! The price point was high for essentially an egg and a half but the presentation made it feel somewhat special to the festival. Unfortunately, these deviled eggs quickly disappointed us. Why? Because they are hard-boiled eggs with different toppings. Disney, this is not a deviled egg. Next time, phone a Southern friend and let us help y’all!
Aside from the eggs being faux-deviled eggs, the toppings were just okay. The BLT had a sweetness we couldn’t quite place (maybe honey?), and the green goddess was an odd pairing (just let it be a salad dressing). The pimento cheese did have a great creamy texture with a slight heat and was my personal favorite. But still not enough to recommend these eggs – save your $6.25.
Chicken “Pot Pie” – smoked cheddar mornay sauce, roasted vegetables, pickled mushrooms, wasabi peas, and sherry-chicken jus served open-faced on flaky pie crust (New) – $6.75
The “pot pie” matches the description, but it was still off-putting when it came out looking like a tiny flatbread. Still the portion size and price made it one of the better values of the day. The smoked cheddar sauce was the winning ingredient, but everything else felt very confusing. The roasted root vegetables looked like pineapple or mango (don’t be fooled like we were), and the vinegar from the pickled mushrooms did not match any of the other flavors. On top of that, the pie crust was dry and pretty bland. While it could have been worse for such a wild ingredient list, it’s still not worth getting again!
Hummingbird Cake – banana and pecan cake dipped in cream cheese icing with caramel sauce and warm pineapple compote – $5
The Hummingbird Cake is always a winner at Festival of the Arts! It’s served cold but is dense and the cake is perfectly moist. Plus, how can you go wrong with a thick layer of cream cheese icing? Also, the accompaniments of the caramel sauce and pineapple compote are delicious additions, and the presentation reminds us of an artist’s palette.
Wicked Weed Brewing Pineapple Daydream IPA (New) – $9.75 for 12 ounces
The Pineapple Daydream is a great fruit-foward IPA – not too heavy on the pineapple or the hops. It’s an easy drinking beer even if you’re not a typical IPA drinker.
Lost Coast Brewery Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout (New) – $9.75 for 12 ounces
The Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout is one of the better stouts we’ve had at an EPCOT festival. Not too heavy with plenty of chocolatey flavor. We would have liked more of the peanut butter flavor to come through, but it is still a unique beer option at EPCOT.
