Over the past three years, some amazing shops and eateries have sprung up at Disney Springs. One of my personal favorites, and a hidden gem, is Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC. Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC features all vegan, gluten free, and kosher items. Usually when you hear that a bakery item is vegan, gluten-free and/or kosher, you probably think “oh great, this isn’t going to have any taste”, but, somehow, they’ve made some of my favorite bakery items on Disney property.
Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC has locations in New York City, Los Angeles, and, in 2015, the bakery made its way to the Most Magical Place on Earth. It’s located by Chapel Hats, and right down from The BOATHOUSE. Its pink walls and wonderful smells entice guests to try their many offerings, such as their delicious coffee cake, muffin tops (which is the best part of the muffin), and, of course, Erin McKenna’s donuts.
You can also find Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC packaged goods at:
-The Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort: chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon sugar donuts, chocolate dipped donuts, mini brownie cupcakes
–The BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn: mini brownie cupcakes
-The Gardens Kiosk at Disney’s Animal Kingdom: chocolate chip cookies and mini brownie cupcakes
–The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: mini brownie cupcakes
–Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: mini brownie cupcakes
–Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort: mini brownie cupcakes
What I love about Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC is that it allows guests with food allergies to have delicious treats while at Walt Disney World. In the spring of 2016, I worked as part of the Disney College Program at Goofy’s Candy CO. At Goofy’s Candy CO., cast members always warn guests who state that they have a nut allergy that everything is near nuts and that they should exercise caution before purchasing one of the bakery items. To those who had nut allergies, I would recommend Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC as a safe and delicious alternative. They were always excited to have another option rather than having to settle for prepackaged items.
If you haven’t tried Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC, you need to add it to your Disney vacation bucket list!
